Anna-Lena Schaupp PhD

Anna-Lena joined Prof Fugger’s lab as a postdoctoral researcher. She is particularly interested in the relationship between inflammatory and neurodegenerative pathways in MS, with an emphasis also on the potential translational implications of her research. Prior to this, Anna-Lena successfully completed a BA in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, where she first developed an interest in immune regulation and its breakdown in chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. She then completed her PhD with Dr Holm Uhlig and Prof Fiona Powrie at the University of Oxford, focussing on the role of human innate lymphoid cells in intestinal inflammation.
